Says Robert, who hails from a bloodline of Scottish bakers dating back to the early 1800's, the while he lived in Dundee, his grandfather, also a baker and former mess hall cook in World War II, would make the traditional family breakfast on Sundays. He remembers the smell of the bacon, the mushrooms, and the blood pudding, and he would wait patiently by the kitchen door until he heard the ringing of the ship's bell, his granddad's quirky announcement that everyone had better take their places at the table, so that breakfast could be served. He believes the warm feeling of that family memory to be one of his inspirations in replication a place where people could get together for good home cooking in friendly surroundings - a place where you feel at home.
Opening Hours:
He offers not just Scottish delights, but British fare in general, which includes the most delicious Fish & Chips (of course with mushy peas), Bangers and Mash with a creamy onion gravy, and Cottage Pie, a heart-warming staple from the old country. Come for the Whisky Wings, and stay for the Sticky Toffee! A good selection of craft beers is available as well as an excellent array of single malt whiskies.

Judging by The Wallace's welcoming ambience, the light hearted banter of the patrons, and the distinct sense of familiarity that you must have been there before, I think he just may have succeeded. "The Wallace" is on the corner of 54th St. and Avenida Samuel Lewis in the Obarrio district. Opening hours are 12pm-11pm Monday through Saturday, and Sundays 12pm-9pm.
